I want to get into the fertilzing part of this business. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to start out with just applying granular fertilizer until I got some solid customers. Can you make good money with just applying granular? If so do you have to have an applicator's license for this? Any info you pros can offer a beginner will be greatly appricated. THANKS

You won't generally need licensing for fertilizer, but you will for pesticides, and not too many customers will buy fert and no weed control. States license pesticide applicators.
Go to http://www.ink.org/public/kda/phealth/phpest/commerci.htm to find info for KS. This will give you applicator requirements, but also read page about business license. Telephone numbers are also given.
----------
Jim
North central Indiana
