    I have read about 200 posts so far about these and have a few questions.
    The Stihl FC 110 looks like a good unit what are the pros and cons.
    The Redmax has the 2500 model.A little better warranty smaller engine. .Pros and cons also.

    I am convinced they are both High quality ,but how do I chose?
    Thanks again.

    RedMax = 6 moving parts
    Stihl = 20+ moving parts

    RedMax is the only one that gives a 2 year commercial warranty.

    I agree. Redmax is better stuff and the Stihl has 30 + moving parts!

    Try the Redmax!

    The Stihl can take a beating and keep on ticking… :cry:

    The Redmax can dish out all the beating you’ve got to give!…LOL! :cool2:

    And the winner is??? payup

    You’re dealer! :blush:

    Who is giving…or will give you the best service? :angel:

    Hope that helps!

    It’s all good! Enjoy! Peace! :angel:

    He sells RedMax and since he is also a PAYING SPONSOR of LS he can....

    plus it is a better product as I have both and only use the Stihl's for backup now.

    I was up at the dealer looking at the Redmax stuff today and had my mind set on a FC110 but may consider not driving to another shop for it and stick with all Redmax this year.

    I have Red Max blowers [2] 7001. I posted on a simular thread 3-23-05 in favor of Red Max.

    I have a Stihl FC 85 pro. I love it. I have not used the FC 110 with the 4-mix engine. And I hate change...

    On that thread, 2 guys [one I know personally] posted the following and it is true. "The way the wheels and quard are on the Stihl edger, they dont clog up as bad with dirt as some other models"
    ...."nothing compares to the design of the Stihl stick edger......the 2nd wheel makes it nice and the deeper design keeps it from clogging like the other will do".

    Made me THINK.

    The picture is of the business end of my 4 year old Stihl FC 85....some wear on the gearbox wheel. The depth wheel is ok.
    The business end has NOT changed with the FC 110. Therein lies the main, probably the only difference, the engine.

    You should do a search to get the straight dope.

    I agree with what captken said about the stihl, I have an fs85 with the edger and really like it. I choose it over the other brands because it has a steel drive shaft instead of a cable for a drive shaft. The 4 mix 110 has a drive shaft also
