    Two questions...

What do you guys think of the Stihl FS 90 string trimmer? im in need of a new one because my kawasaki KBL23A is a pita...

Next question, Is about the Stihl BR 600 backpack blower, is it really worth the extra 80 dollars or should i just go with the Stihl BR 550?

I have the FS100 4-mix and it's been great. I had to adjust the valves at 100 hours (took five minutes) but other than that and a spark plug, it's been trouble free.

I also purchased a BR550 this year and love it. It really moves the air. Can't comment on the BR600 but I can't see where you would need more power unless you were moving leaves with it.

I buy most of my stuff at West Chester Lawn & Garden because it's close to home...:)

spend the extra money on and get the br600. you can notice the difference in power over the 550. I have one 550 because the 600s werent out yet and i wish everyday it was a 600.

I have a 550 and the 550 only blows only 2 mph less than the 600.

It's not about's about CFM. The 550 has 530 CFM with the tube on. The 600 has 712 CFM with the tube on. That's about 40% more CFM. Spend the extra 80 bucks and get the 600.

By the way...I don't know of an FS90. I have the FS80R, just because I got it right when the 4 mix had come out (didn't know much about it), and I've used quite a few before. They've been around awhile. You could go with the 100 or 110. The 110 is a little bit heavier due to the solid driveshaft, but other than that, the 100 and 110 are the same machine. The FS80 is a 2 cycle where the other two are 4 cycles. I like my FS80, and I know a lot of people who like their 100's and 110's. If I got another new weed eater, it would be a 110 most likely.

A difference the mph does make, it is sheer coincidence the 550 is at 199mph and the 600 is 201, so since the mph between the two is the same it happens to make no difference.

Because they sell fans that put out 40,000 cfm at 20 mph, tell me it ain't about the mph and you can use it to clean up leaves.

The nozzle has a larger opening on the br600 over the br 550. At the same velocity[MPH meaning velocity] the 600 puts out more volume[CFM is volume]. Thus, there is a big difference. Did you think they just put a new number on the same machine?
