I recently purchased a Stihl br420 blower and it keeps sucking the tail of my t-shirt into the impellar area. Alreadly torn up two t-shirts.

Anyone else ever had this problem?
    Possible fixes?

No, but my BR-400 trimmed my ponytail a couple times before I started tucking it into my shirt.
It was the closest thing I've had to a haircut in a while.

I thought there was a plastic guard on that model?

Yes i have the br340 and have lost a bunch of t-shirts. Its funny when the blower starts shooting out strings and stuff.

I just started wearing smaller shirts that are'nt as baggy around the waist, also adjust the straps on the blower so that the impeller is away from the bottom of the shirt.

Lost a few shirts myself. Whenever I get ready to use it now, I just pull my shirt tight to the front and tuck that part in. You can always tell when it sucks up the shirt , makes that odd noise, fabric shards blown thru out the yard...........good times........good times........

Ahhh yessss, nothing more entertaining to brighten a day, I can usually tell by that 'tugging' feeling, fun, fun.

I either take my shirt off or tuck it in my pants real good.

The BR-400 can suck a shirt tail into the blower houseing, as fast as a chicago streetwalker can.....

Just keep the shirt tucked in lol.

Shirt stays tucked in when it is not june, july, or august.

These are company shirts with name and logo, not cheapies.

Never had this happen with echo blowers.

I think I will try streching chicken wire or the like across the bottom of the backpack.
