I have a curved shaft stihl edger, I was wondering if I could modify the guard so it doesn't clog up as easily. I was thinking of cutting the side part of the guard off, and maybe putting a rubber flap on it for added protection. What do you guys think, any ideas?

I just put a stihl brush cutter deflector on my fs 110 just to keep some grass and debris off legs. Take it to a stihl dealer and see if they can match up a bigger deflector.

i cut the side off of my le-230 edger to match what the new ones look like from the factory. i used an air cut-off tool, i'll post some pics tomorrow, i also used a piece if inner tube to enlarge the flap that keeps dirt from getting on you
