    Thanks guys.

I took my time and respooled the line well and knock on wood, no more problems. I think what was happening is the line was twisting or getting locked up and would not advance. Thus would explain why it was snapping. Seems all good now. It was just strange because I have never had this problem on any of my other trimmers. It just seemed odd that it kept happening over and over again. All good.

I am glad you solved the problem.
I will admit.......my helpers often wind the spool too tight when wrapping the two lines simultaneously. It is easy to twist and overlap twine.
I will also admit that the Echo quick feed heads with the one loop dual wrap spool is just as arduous as some. Stihl made it less troublesome by cutting the twine and wrapping two separate pieces.
The problem my men have is edging too close to the concrete surface or in our case, paver wall blocks and abused curbings. The jagged concrete will shear any line.........I don't care what line it is......it will shear. But shearing off close to the eyelet is using too short of line.

    Good going.
