Any thoughts where I might be able to purchase a service manual for the Stihl HS 80 hedge trimmer? I may have to disassemble my unit & would like to have a service manual for reference. My Stihl dealer does not want to sell me a manual. Thanks for any help.

I'm not sure if your dealer was just too lazy to explain things or if it's what you took as
meaning he doesn't "want" to sell you one but they don't sell repair manuals for Stihl's,
as for the Owner's manual that comes with the unit.

No other way about it.

As a STIHL dealer I know we do offer SERVICE manuals for sale. Much cheaper than any found on EBAY, which are purchasing from STIHL dealers and reselling at a much higher price than from the dealer. Most are about $8.00 retail from your DEALER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the reply. So here is the deal, I purchased the trimmer from some one who started "working" on it. I am pretty sure there are some bad parts on, some wrong parts on it and some missing parts on it. So I am doing a rebuild on it except for the engine itself. So I would like a reference as I go through the whole thing
