I stopped by the local Stihl Dealer and he is pretty firm on his numbers.

    FS110 Trimmer 370.00

    Chainsaw MS260 Pro w/18" bar 460.00

Seems a little high to me, is this the going market rate for these critters? Thanks.

Stihl sets the prices not the retailer and yes it does seem high but its worth the money. I shopped and called all around in GA and the prices were the same every where.

I was just quoted a price of $479.00 for a 260pro at my stihl dealer 5 days ago so your price sounds correct.

Stihl has a suggested list price just like any other manufacturer and the dealer sets their own price. In 1999 I bought my first piece of Stihl equipment, a BR400 blower. When I asked for the price the dealer said $379. When I said that I was going to get a price from another dealer he lowered it to $359 and I bought it. Also just a couple of weeks ago I bought a new FS80 for $255 which is well below the list price.
