Stinger is showing their new applicator which features many industry first:
  • Both spread and spray ground metered technology (1.5 - 5.5 mph accurate application)
  • All electronic controls: no cables, levers, valves, or dripping diaphragms. One touch operation.
  • Smart calibration - use a container and collect fert or spray. Tell the control how much you collected and it does all the math based on the time it was distributing that product. Doesn't get any easier.
  • All stainless steel NASCAR inspired tube frame making it lighter and stronger.
  • New steering is the tightest and easiest to turn in the industry and it isn't even close.
  • Commercial hydrostatic pump and motor drive system making it 3-5x longer life than competition. We went with the optional cooling fan to which is over kill to extend life even further.
  • 32 gal all liquid unit option: the new 150 lb hopper deign removes in 2 min with 4 bolts and 1 connector to be replaced with a 16 gal spray tank. You can spray from either tank with the touch of a button from the control panel.
  • These are the highlights but there is a lot more that won't fit in a post.
Basic Specs:
  • 360 lbs
  • 150 lb hopper; 16 gal man spray tank w/additional 16 gal option
  • 35" wide, 56" long (yep, its that compact),43" tall
  • 18"drive tires and 13" steering tires
  • All stainless powder coated frame.
  • 6.5 hp commercial Vanguard electric start engine.

I can take pics or a video if anyone wants
I'll be walking by the booth this morning
that would be nice how about a viedo of it working out side in the demo aera
ok
We only built 1 new one for the show.

too much other stuff going on coupled with peak season I elected to do just one so we can build and ship more product like the new smart seeders attachments

there will be demos at 3:00 on Friday when the show ends... and I'm sure videos too
ok thanks
Your customer's will love the small foot print not rutting the grass, mashing it down, and you will love the efficiency at which you can work.

Applying accurately all the time is a bonus.....we made it very difficult for your crews to screw it up....I know, everyone has that one guy...
Yep theres always one

View attachment 390229 I'm 6'5" 290 lbs ... for reference
It didn't seem that much smaller than other models

I would have like more foot room but it's not terrible
so what was your thought on it
The new stinger machine looks nice but that electric control panel and other electric items,I doubt they will hold up in time against corrosive fertilizers.
i guess time will tell, just depends on how well there sealed

Production is planned to start in Dec and delivery to dealers and customer in Jan.

Pricing - $7,500
Dave are you going to to any demos like you have on your other equipment
Just our prototype test units. Waiting on injection molded tooling to get done then we will start showing them and shipping them to sales guys for demos and shows.

We have openings at $9.00 / hr to run them all day on a bump track test if your looking to log some hours on one. Weather is a little crappy. Dress warm.

To be honest, after I went to GIE, I just sat on it instead of buying a unit. Still waiting to see what features this Stinger unit will have, hard to invest in a somewhat ambiguous commodity.
Yep thats why i asked if he had a finished unit yet
