as much as i'd love just once to come across a lady who would pay in cootch, the problem i see with that is actually "collecting" payment.

i'm not gonna cut some ladys grass and then go inside and have sex and then finish my day. i'm gonna want to be showered before i have sex and then i don't wanna put on my sweaty dirty cloths once i have showered to go back to work.

i'd wanna cut the grass and then come back later, that evening or on the weekend. but who's to say she'll honor her agreement.

thats why i don't take anything except cash, check and money orders as payment. that way if they don't honor that agreement they can be turned over to a collection agency. some times it actually is worth leaving a paper trail.

I traded some mowing for a chain saw from a elderly guy I have been mowing for a couple of years. I wrote up a coupon and put it in my file for taxes.

My auto mechanic trades labor for mowing. All I do is pay for parts.

Not really a strange form of payment because they paid for the job with cash however they felt I worked so hard and did a great job the customer dropped by my house and gave me a fresh turkey for Thanksgiving...;)
This is one of my first customers and I am new to the business so it's a great way to start.

I have gotten paid in rolled change more than once. Once got paid in 5 dollar bills but what made it strange was they were all new and the serial numbers were all in order. All 8 of them.

Not sure if this qualifies as a "strange way of payment," but this week a lady sent me a blank check. Yes, totally blank. So, it is not a real payment.

It is worthless. What was she thinking?

did she at least sign it?

if she did you can legally fill in the rest. i've had clients do that with me. they sign a check and tell me to fill in the rest.
