Hi, I subcontract some mowing and other work to guys who used to work for me, who have their own equipment. It works well, and I make a guaranteed profit. My only concern is how to protect myself. Does anyone have a contract or something they use for sub-contractors? I'm just wondering what my liability is, if something happens like they damage my customers property. I am requiring them to have liability insurance, but beyond that, I'm not sure. Appreciate any help.

As long as you have insurance and they have insurance (business liability) and your insurance agent says you are OK, you'll be fine.

Can you elaborate on your Sub-Contract agreement with your guys? % of gross/net you pay them, etc
