Just a little FYI. I would almost expect that Exmark should be posting these in their sponsor forums to really help their users avoid future problems.

If you've got a Phazer unit and using it in this manner, get to your dealer before the possible damage occurs.

Exmark has received increased field reports of the transmission (H-G ZT2800) getting damaged due to the low ground clearance on the Phazer units. Exmark has designed a guard (P/N 109-4795) to protect the bottom side of the transmission, particularly the charge cap. In most cases the charge cap has been impacted causing cracking and loss of hydro fluid. These failures usually occur when going over some curbs or when loading on steep trailer ramps.

In the past these damaged transmissions have been covered as policy exceptions. Now that there is a guard designed to protect the transmission, we will no longer be covering impact failures. It is Exmark’s belief that machines being used in commercial use and home owners that have the potential to go over curbs need to have the guard installed. This guard will be standard on 2007 machines (S/N 670,000 & higher).
