Hi All. Well the 2006 season is around the corner. We started buying our corn gluten to late last year and this year don't intend on making the same mistake. Given the high fuel costs we won't be including Corn Gluten in our regular soil nutrition program this year. Instead we will focus on the long-term weed management through the use of great organic fertilizers, proper mowing & watering techniques and spot weed management (Aquacide, spot seeding, Horticultural Vinegar, etc.) Thought you may (or may not) be interested in a product that we've had quite a great deal of success with. Ecochem (http://www.ecochem.com/) offers all sorts of products that are suitable for an organic program. They not only have products for the lawn but also garden, agri-business, ponds, algae, etc. Very reasonably priced as well. But we only had to ship across one province at that time. They will send you a sample pack of their products if you contact them directly (via phone worked better for us). Another product we are researching will be the Bradfield Horticultural Vinegar for weed killing. We've made contact with the company out of the states and they sent us a sample pack of their products. They can ship over the border to us. What's your programs involve? We generally start with an inspection of the property (residential properties only). Based on that inspection we develop a program that the customer either takes or not. Our program going into this year will involve a "starter pack" and then strategy packs designed to offer programs for all budgets.
