Wondering if you guys are getting swamped here right before Christmas.

If my phone doesnt stop ringing I'm gonna throw it out the window.

I don't know about getting swamped with calls here in IL but its starting to look like a swamp around here with all the rain we've been getting.

All we're getting swamped with is LEAF REMOVAL calls. Certainly, no rain.

This is my first year in the business and I was told a few weeks ago by fairly large LCO owner that I shouldn't expect to receive many new customers until after the holidays. Last week I received 6 new customers, all in the same neighborhood. I also picked up 2 commercial accounts (Self Storage) which I start in Jan 2008. If this is slow, I love the holidays!

I agree with LawnPro -- the only swamp here is in the low areas from the rain. I haven't been able to work since a week ago last Saturday, but still have many more "last visits" I would like to make. With all the rain, I doubt those visits will happen.

You need to get your customers under contract so you can do the work at your schedule not theirs. Since the grass is still growing and no frost we may cut straight through this year.

What should be charged for lawn care? Average Subdivision lot with house?

I wish I was getting a ton of calls. I live in Houston and since grass is still growing a little and there are leaves I had my worker put out 1500 flyers last week and I havnt gotten one fricken call.
