Just wondering, does anyone use full synthetic oil in their mowers? I use it in my trucks, and a different, but still full syn oil in my 2 stroke stuff, and want to know if I can use it in my mowers or not.

any problems from your mowers? I appreciate knowing someone is running it, just wondering if it causes anything to go wrong before I invest in using it on my mowers.

Yeah, you can use it if you want.
But personally, I have yet to see a mower engine I'd put it in.
Haven't seen one yet that can keep the oil clean enough to justify it.

With such frequent oil changes being needed...
I just don't see the benefit really.
Especially since I feel the benefit is not all it's cracked up to be.

I just run good dino juice and change often.

Its in all of my mowers and also in the hydros. I even use synthetic gear lube in the Walkers gear boxes. The cost is greater but in my applications I have no problems. The Walker can run a little warmer than an open engine Z so I will always use synthetic in the Walker. I notice that more and more mfgrs are putting synthetic in the hydro system. I have been using that for years, it makes good sense. Heat and dirt are the 2 enemies so it is costlier in dusty conditions but I still like the stuff.

my dixie ran 10 years on mobile1 now it needs a set of rings because the bypass filter broke off last year and lost all of the oil. It still starts right up as soon as you turn the key just burns a little oil.
