I have been doing quite a bit of research during the past few months on this and wonder if any of you have looked at, into or are currently installng.

Market is really geared to the business sector and those
with a bunch of cash sitting around. What I have found out is that for about 1,700 SF you are looking at about
$12,000 and that will get you a minimum 10 years provided it is installed correctly. Comes out to approx
    $7.00 per square foot.

    Thoughts and Opinions welcome

I will say, U of I has or did have a synthetic turf on the football field, and I think it was awesome. I was able to get down on the field and check it out for myself. It had a great look to it. It didn't necessarily feel like real turf but it served it's purpose.

If the situation is perfect for it, I'd say it's a good product to push.

Synthetic turfs have come a long ways in the past 10 years.

I would like to see the square footage costs come down more as
proper prep work (like a aver patio) is expensive and requires a
machine capable of loading a quad dump. Costs are excessive for 75% of homeowners and that is a contributing factor.

Honestly? The guy that develops aturf that does not require
excessive 21a base will also lower costs.
