I'm looking for user reviews on this tail gate ramp system.

Old threads show a few members here who have had them but sold them or are no longer in business.

So... for those who have direct experience using them please post you experience. Good and bad.

As far as I was able to find out, it is probably the only one left on the market that will work well. The Safe-T-Ramp I have I think is superior for a few reasons, but apparently the builder died and it's been discontinued.

The negative with the pictured ramp that I had was that it narrows near the end so if you were not carefull you might drop a wheel off when backing out. I think it'd be fine for a walkbehind, but wide riders or standers you'd need to be extra careful. It's also a little more awkward to raise/lower the ramp, as you are dropping parts of it on the pavement, which is not cool if you're in a driveway.

I'm still looking for another model, if anyone knows of one that is safe (full width, weight not supported by tailgate, at least 7' long, preferably longer, 1200 lb min capacity)

I love having a longbed with equipment in the back. We run one of these trucks 5 days a week, but as most have found, the ramps aren't available anymore. I've seen a redi-ramp, not available anymore, but replaces the tailgate.

The one we have is powder coated, hydraulic piston assist (just slows the movement, not powered assist), full width, fits in the hitch to take the weight, and the lip mounts on the drop down tailgate. ONly downside is that is moves around a little bit in the hitch and the angle can be a bit steep at times. It's very easy to get the front wheels up when loading a walkbehind, and I loaded a walker in it in a pinch, but wouldn't do it again. It bowed out a little on loading, as well as got hung up coming back out due to the angle and the deck trying to follow the ramp angles. I bought mine last year from a hunter who didn't need it anymore. Would love to find another one.

What's the rating on the one you pictured? Who makes it?

I remembered the owner said that one above was overkill on the ranger, and he took off two sections. Worked well for his 32" WB.

    #1350 depends on angle

There are other ALUMINUM ramps out there that with a bit of modification might work out just fine.

This is the one I use, and have had 2 welded up based on this one ( just wider, full width). Any welder can fab one, not hard to do. I Love them, and would never be with out one. I use 2 tubes inside each other, to cover the tailgate tabs, then weld them, so there not able to be stolen. Note the curved top, aids in not letting decks get hung up. Also ( not in this pic ) i have garage door springs to aid in the lifting of them.

What I am wanting to do is attach a folding ramp, preferably aluminum, to the back of this flat bed replacing the back panel. The bed on this Toyota is a full 6 feet wide from what I was told by the Co. owner.

As of yet I have not had a chance to drive to Seattle to look at the this product.

There was a motorcycle ramp that had mounted bracket attached to tail gate or back of vehicle that securely dropped in to a groove to eliminate fiddle with safety straps. It was on Discount Ramps page but I can't find it now.
