Thought I'd post what could be some interesting information regarding these two machines since I have seat time in both in varying conditions. Some basics: TL120 weighs 5,950#'s, 52 hp, has 49" of 12" wide McLaren Next Gen tracks on the ground (4.5 psi...tracks have over 200 hrs. and have just barely gotten rid of the mold ribs on top of the lugs), tipping load is rated around 3550#'s. Rc60 weighs 6,200#'s, 60 hp, has 59" of 15" wide OEM tracks pn the ground (3.1 psi) with 375 light hrs. on them (I'd estimate 90% new), tipping load is rated around #3800#'s. TL120 pros: hands down has better visibility in the front for seeing corners of bucket without popping your head forwards (especially with cab door), seeing the quick attach during hookup, seeing tracks on sides without having to raise boom very high, and easier getting in and out of cab. Much more room in cab for carrying a chain saw or whatever. Heavier duty in the rear in case you run into something. Can curl much more weight on the forks. Better on fuel and is more responsive and quick at low to mid rpm's (even in low speed). No lag in joystick operation (some folks say it's too sensitive, but I like it). Just a hunch - but I'd say it has less maintenance costs per hour. Has temperature guage vs. idiot light. Easier to grease all zerks and cab tilts up for better accessibility. Underbelly will keep debris out much better. Undercarriage less sensitive. RC60 pros: better ride (but not by a huge amount with the Next Gen on the Takkie), more stable and less pitchy when running over uneven terrain with a load, higher ground clearance, better ground speed in higher rpm's, lifts a hair more - maybe 200#'s, better floatation on mushy ground, rides up a bit better on hard packed snow mounds. Fuel throttle in a less awkward spot. Better visibility out the rear (but not much). As far as traction in snow - anyone want to venture a guess before I post a video? Tell me what machine you think pushes better and if it's close or not. I'll post it later this evening.
