I was laid off in march after 15 years in Logistics and I started mowing lawns for rental homes that a friend of mine was managing for out of town investors. I found myself thoroughly enjoying my work and now I have acquired an investor to help grow my business. I am pretty good at pricing residnetial jobs, but I am in the process of preparing some bids for some commercial contracts and I am not sure how exactly to go about doing so. Do I price my the acre? hours? Its kind of hard since I have no idea what these contracts went for last year. Any advice? By the way, this is my first post and I think that this is a great site. oh yeah, my business is strictly mowing, weed eating, and blowing (of course I have doen some minor landscaping stuff at customer's request, but I am NO green thumb).
