I have been using Echo equipment for several years but have been thinking about the Tanaka line of string trimmers and want to know what your opinions are on them. Do any of you use Tanaka power equipment? Several years ago it seemed to me that everyone was using their hedge trimmers and string trimmers and blowers. I have been told they are very well built machines.

I just placed an order for a tbc-260sf at my dealer on monday, should be here within a week or so. I demoed a tbc-230 in the fall and loved it. Seem to do what they're built to do- very nicely in my opinion. Might add: well built, balanced, and overall low vibrations.

Tanaka products including trimmers are GREAT. Take a look at the TBC230. It weighs 10.2 lbs, very smooth.
