Havn't heard it talked about, anyone do it?
Naw...I usually have tea before crumpets !!!!
Marco's you put crumpets under your sod
If you use a mycorrhizal product with the tea it will greatly effect the long term health of the sod
here are ours plus some trich species which are great for combating fungal disease. I always love this when I talk about it, kill fungal disease with fungi
It seems that the Trichoderma species does not care for pathogenic fungi and exude an enzyme that wipes the bad guys out
ITS A WAR DOWN THERE IN THE SOIL
Fungi, Ecto Mycorrhizae
Geesh! No sense of humor, huh, Bill ?!?
Definitely agree that compost tea in combination with mycorrhizae would be an excellent pre-sod application!
I was acually just drinking some tea before a job and wondered if anyone else has this ritual.....
You know I was smiling when I typed that
can picture it, gazing over a freshly box bladed patch of land, workers all around you, pallets evenly spaced as far as the eye can see, and me, holding a saucer and sipping out a fine china cup.
I know it was a common sense question, just wish I had that ICT in before we laid all this sod tomorrow
We'll over night it, no problem
love it, tea before sod
on a serious note;we have done the tea before sod thing and swear by it,50% less water to get it going and the roots are thicker and fuller. the real deal is when there a lot of clippings in the summer down in the sod, it rots with out the tea and the sod does not like that, its like damping off, or wet foot.and did i say how little water we used?
and no starter NPK BS like the other tribes do, that realy gets to them!!!
