Tell me if I’m crazy

So for years everyone has said Stand on mowers are the way to go in my area. I always just blew that comment off. We run 61 inch turf tigers currently and with all the rain we’ve had these heavy mowers have been pretty rough on the turf. So I decided to demo a toro grandstand but it’s only a 52inch. I kinda hated to even take it out because I was scared it would slow us down. But man let me tell you. I haven’t actually timed it but I’m pretty sure I can cover yards just as fast or faster with it than my turf tigers. I think it’s simply the fact it turns around so much faster and can fit around everything in the lawn so much better. But is it just me or does everyone seem to think this?

I'd try those but we don't really have any dealers local
you will enjoy the wright. i run the JD 652r efi which is basically the wright and i love mine. very versatile machine and can hold a hill extremely well.
I actually love both the wright and toro. Maybe to toro slightly more. However neither of them cut quite like a scag so looks like I'm going to demo a vride as well. I have a old vride I don't really like however I know they've made changes
Picked up a scag vride 2 as well today for demo. It also has a 52 inch deck. Haven’t got to do much with it yet though. Although I will say that so far my favorite of all is the grandstand. However it’s the most expensive too
I can see the stander being more productive in tight yards over a Turf Tiger. However, a shorter zero turn such as a Grasshopper 300 series rivals some standers in over all length, and can be maneuvered in tight places better than a comparable Turf Tiger. While I love my Turf Tigers, my venture into more residential work recently has got me using Grasshopper 329 mid mounts and even possibly trading my 36" walk behind for a 36" stander...

with the width of the tires and axle, from what i understand, it is very easy to tear up turf with the stander 36" mower. i can't say for certain that is the case, my stander is a 52" and has 20" wide tires, but i can tell you that i wish that they were a lil wider..
