    Farwell, Michigan, March, 20 2013 – Terex® Environmental Equipment host their first Biomass & Trommel Training Event at their facility in Farwell, Michigan, USA.

    Terex® Envirommental Equipment’s first dealer event, where training sessions for the Biomass and Trommel product lines were provided, and was attended by 27 representatives from over 16 new potential dealers. The two day event began with a factory tour which provided those in attendance with the opportunity to look at and explore the arborist, biomass and new products, along with gaining first-hand knowledge of the smooth working structure of the facility. Following on from the shop floor tour, presentations were given on our current and future range of products. The event closed with a demonstration of Terex® Environmental Equipment’s Biomass Whole Tree Chipper, the TBC 430. Seamus Sheelan, Powerscreen New England commented “The event was a great opportunity for us as dealers to be involved over the two days, and view these new products. The recycling and the wood processing industry opens up another potential area for us into the future.”

    Commenting on the Biomass and Trommel two day dealer event in Farwell, Michigan, Kieran Hegarty, President of Materials Processing said “Terex® is very excited about this opportunity and about building a strong business franchise focused on the biomass, recycling marketplace. Our focus will be on providing a range of biomass chippers, high-speed grinders and trommels”.

    Biomass Whole Tree Chippers
    Terex® TBC 430
    The Terex Biomass Chipper 430 can produce up to 80 tons per hour of quality biomass and is able to accept short end cuts up to 30” in diameter. The TBC 430 cuts with a 50” diameter by 30” wide drum and turns at 700 rpm’s for smoother cutting and less wear and tear on the machine. Standard features include a computer control hydraulic feed system, full knife pocket drum for chip quality, heavy duty 50” diameter chipping drum, which is designed to run at a lower rpm giving minimal vibration, and a high torque reverse pivot feed system for ease of loading.

    The Terex® Biomass Whole Tree Chipper range TBC 430, 440 and 460 have pressure compensated hydraulics with simple componentry. The machine and hydraulics are controlled by the Terex Eaton FX control system that monitors and diagnoses the machines operating functions. Terex has also designed in manual hydraulic overrides that can be operated without the computer. These industry leading designs make maintenance and serviceability of our products much easier, reducing our customers operating costs and down time.

    Terex ® Phoenix 2100 Trommel
    The Terex® Phoenix 2100 is mid sized 2 way split mobile trommel screen designed for quick setup and high throughput. Features of the Phoenix 2100 include a large screen area, low maintenance, 4 wheel friction drum drive system, load sensing kick-out control system on the feeder conveyor and hydraulic folding onboard conveyors. The Phoenix 2100 has been designed to work in: top soil, wood chips, compost and recycling applications.

    Terex ® Phoenix 3300 Trommel
    The Terex® Phoenix 3300 is a 2-way split mobile trommel screen designed and built specifically for topsoil, recycling, wood chippings and compost applications. Key features of the Phoenix 3300 include a large screen area, a low maintenance 4 wheel drum drive system, proportional load sensing on the feeder conveyor to eliminate blockages and downtime and hydraulic folding conveyors including a 180° radial fines conveyor.
