I think it all has to do what your used to! I rented an ASV sr 70 over the summer and I can say I hated the thing. It was fast yes and the ride was great but I stalled the thing atleast 10 times going into a pile and wasn't at high speed and the bucket on it was tiny(less than the width of the tracks. Now I am not sure if it was how the rental place had it setup or what but I wasn't a fan. I am used to my Gehl 5640 but my laborer who doesn't run equipment much didn't like it either. I have ran Deere, bobcat and New Holland and perfered them more as well.
We have borrowed a 277 (2003) from my friends company and it is the same way just didn't bog as much. But both the 277 and the ASV did the pain in the ass where it is balls out straight and you go to turn it has to stop and turn and then go instead of just being able to make a gradual turn.

Not calling it Junk just saying it wasn't my cup of tea and would never consider buying one.

    Just my $0.02

Maybe he doesn't want to admit he is comparing a pt-30 to a 289c? Or maybe he has never drove his 289c across a parking lot?

Terex machines have the smoothest ride of any MTL/CTL out there, period. If you're hurting after running one, you suck as an operator. Just saying.

Knowing what machine he was running would be a big help.

If he was in a NEW PT80, like the one I have. Its got a WAY better ride than the older PT80s. Plus its got a suspension seat (Old one didn't)

No need to apologize; however, I might add that you were really stretching in your comparison to your CAT 289C based on the fact that you called it a "piece of junk", and then acknowledge that it was an abused rental machine on top of the fact that your machine is almost 2 tons heavier (4,000lbs) and over 30hp more than a PT50.

That's almost like owning an F350 then running a little Ranger and calling it gutless with a crappy payload and worse towing capacity.:confused:

He is probably referring to his Terex/Cat die cast collection. That way on a given day either can be a winner. He probably hurt his back reaching across the table and blamed it on the Terex.
