Recently bought a Texas Bragg trailer- used. The brakes were/ are not hooked up.

Do TB trailers have a ground wire or just a power wire going to the brake assembly?

There are 2 wires on each brake one for power and one for ground. Don't matter which way you hook them up.

The only other thing I will suggest is to ground both brakes on each axle to the same spot. This way you get an even current or draw on both brakes.

On my equipment trailer, the ground for one axle was on one side of the frame, and the second axle was on the opposite side of the frame. Not sure if that makes a difference or not, but I can see the logic in it.
