I just replaced my front brakes, rears were fine, they just needed to be cleaned & adjusted. 69,000 miles.

I assume you use the exhaust brake regulary which holds back very well. It wasn't uncommon for the guys with GMC/Isuzu trucks to go a long distance and not have to replace the brake shoes.

I always use the jake brake. This truck is starting its 8th season of year round duty, i have done tires, belts, a pressure switch from the oil pan & some wire harness repairs. Im very happy with isuzu, i would buy another one in a heartbeat!

I loved my Isuzu when I had one and am considering another one next year when I pay down some bills. The only problem I have is the lack of Isuzu capacity, or should I say wheelbase. I need a 20' box and a 4' dovetail for my stuff and the NPR stops at 176" wheelbase. I'm told to not exceed 20' with everything combined. I guess I could stick with that. I was also looking at the LCF because of the greater capacity but am leary of the powerstroke and have been told to stay away from them.

My npr is a 2003 diesel with the aisan 3 speed /overdrive automatic. The new npr's have an additional 30 hp and the aisan 6 speed, they have also improved the ride and the cab. The cab is butt ugly but they are nice trucks.

i have an 06 W3500 cabover that i could not be without. i am having a problem with my ac though. i am on my third ac condenser fan since june. the ac will blow very cold for a little while and then not very cold. i believe its the fan again since i have not seen it come on at all. should the fan be running all the time when the ac is on?. other than this problem, these trucks are the only way to go.........clay
