What is the best oil for a 6 HP Kawasaki engine on a Toro Proline. Thanks for your help in advance.
I run Quaker State SAE 10W-30 oil in all of my 4 cycle engines. The mechanic at my local dealer told me that it is better to run SAE 10W-30 in Kawasaki engines rather than straight SAE 30. I have been running Quaker State SAE 10W-30 oil in all of my 4 cycle engines for 3+ years now with no problems at all. Hope this helps.
The weight of the oil depends on the conditions that you run it in. If you run in canada you would want thinner oil 10-30w for the cooler / colder weather. If you run in Florida like me straight 30 might be better because of the heat.
The most important thing is to run oil that you will change frequently. Nothing is better for the engine than clean oil.
Mobil 1...Go Synthetic or Go Home.
once again you prove your stupidity with a blanket statement.
amsoil would be the best, i guess 10w-30, whatever your engine requires
Mobil 1 For Everything 4 Stroke after 50 hrs....it Just Makes Sense...
I Even Put Mobil 1 on My Cereal in the Morning.
Run a good grade of 30WT and change the oil and filter every 50 hours. If you want to run synthetic after break in that is fine but get at least 100 hours on it first. 250 hours on larger engines.
why do you need to do that? I've never heard of that before.
Dump in the Synthetic after you change the oil the first time and go.. 0 problems for me.. If it works for new Vette's, Benz's etc.. ( All factory fill with Mobil One, the New Z06's engine is even assembled solely with Mobil One..) I'm sure it'll work for a 6 hp Kawi..
