Here’s what quick a dirty looks like for me. We lost the check valve in the well and I don’t have time to wait on my well guys to come fix it. Put a check valve behind the cycle stop, cut and couple the sched 80 nipple. 30 min and we are back up.

I have several of those LXME's they work great. **** for remotes though, LIMR is discontinued for years so you I'm guessing you have to go with that TRC remote (somewhat expensive).

Amazing it has all 48 stations used plus a bunch basically doubled up (2 valves in a station slot). This could use an upgrade to ACC2 probably.
The clock is fine, I just prefer the Hunter controls. Rainbird has no remote, no cell kit , nothing to run these systems remotely which is kind of a joke these days. I have 2 TRC remotes and they used to be the ****! For whatever reason , the range on these have diminished significantly. Full rehab on both last year from TRC and nothing changed. TRC says there must be interference and will gladly sell me a roof top antenna extension. 500 yds line of site is the absolute best they can do. 300’ around a corner is not happening.
This controller only has 46 zones. All the other wires are for the remote.

A Hunter I2C with cell kit would be ideal for this. At $1300 cost it’s pricey but almost worth eating it for the labor savings alone.

I wonder how good the hunter roams would do there.
The third controller on this property is an ACC2 and the XL works like it should. IDK, the buildings are tall, I get that. If the XL remote won’t work, the cell kit will. I don’t get why Rainbird doesn’t have a commercial remote nor a reasonably priced cell connection. WiFi is just not an option on a lot of large commercial properties

That’s a lot of work for at most probably 12 zones. I would just pay for the TRC 12 and go with it. He’s running that on small properties which a TRC will run very well. Definitely a novel idea !
You can get an HPC up to 24 zones. Gets a little pricey but yea I understand if you need a remote for 24+. I only have a handful of properties that have that many zones. I'm mostly commercial / residential.

My TRC is only 24 zone. They work just fine on bigger systems except you have to count and that can get confusing when you get into the mid 30’s. I dig holes for a living.

The 3” is the suction side. There is copper mesh/lining inside , surrounded by the plastics mesh. The copper helps to prevent algae growth, a problem down here. The 1/2” is connected to a couple 10F nozzle and is the “cleaning” mechanism. We hook the 1/2” to the discharge side of the pump or a valve nearby, it basically just helps keep the screen cleaner. Sometimes I use it sometimes not. Each of these screens are rated up to 5hp. At $500 each to the property I can’t always use 2 , but if I can get the money I will. You can never really have too much screen. This pump, 5hp LTH , is used as a booster , if the main ever fails I’ll need every GPM I can get, so 2 screens.

Are these good enough filtering for running RB 5004's off a lake?

And these are $500 each? So that setup with two was $1k? ouch.

Keeping the asphalt cool.
I figured this is why Florida is so steamy in the middle of the summer... so many irrigation rotors spraying the black asphalt... LMAO

Somehow it doesnt seem right when the irrigation system perfectly stays on the grass. Just look at the neighbors'... they water the street too?

TBH this reminds me of Wilmington NC where I grew up... a particular neighborhood named College Acres near UNCW. As a kid, seemed like every irrigation system put in there (probably in the 50s/60s) only had full circle Rain bird 20s and they just put em near the street to make sure grass at the street got watered. Which meant you could drive down the street around 6pm and probably get your car washed from all the systems running at the time...

Most of them have "upgraded" these days to popup stream rotors, but a large number of them still spraying the streets...
