Thief caught, owner in trouble?

    I'm a citizen in Pennsylvania who identifies as an illegal in San Francisco.

    You would have to hold him at the scene of the crime and have proof that a crime occurred. Also tell the guy that you are using citizens arrest. Buy locking him in the trailer well that’s unlawful confinement.

    That’s nuts! We just had about $700 in equipment (hedge trimmer and chainsaw) stolen off our trailer 2 days ago. So what you’re saying here is to open the doors, let em in to take anything they want, and then send them on their way? I tell ya, laws are not setup for the working man!

    Nope, you can detain. Just can’t confine and take them to the PD. Also have witnesses if you can.

    When I lived in S.C. my room mate walked outside bout 2am and surprised a thief in my old Bronco. The handles on the inside had long since broke off. You have to roll down the window to let yourself out. Well, the thief did not figure that out in time. Lol, the truck was shaking while the guy panicked.
