Noticed this ad in my local paper last week.

Lawncare and landscaping service for sale
to one or two self motivated individuals.
Business is currently operating in the local
area and is completely turn key. Includes
    mowers, trimmers, handtools,1985 Toyota
work truck (runs great) also includes all
accounts that produce good income. All
    for $10,000.

Being the curious person that I am, I call to inquire about this wonderful opportunity. This kid was just spilling all this info to me without me even asking any questions. Keep in mind our mowing season will end in about 9 weeks. He only has 25 accounts and 20 of those are with one rental agency without any contracts. Can you say 'all your eggs in one basket?' Prices per mow range from $15 to $40 per cut. I won't touch anything for less than $30. He told me if I bust my butt, I could make $500/week mowing. I can make that much in one day working solo. His mowers consist of two 22inch push mowers. Before we even discussed price, he told me he would drop the price to $6,500!!! In my opinion, even this price is very overinflated. What does the peanut gallery think about this??

 $500 per week if you work your butt off? haha. Sounds like a heck of a deal...For a nutcase!

Offer him $500 for everything. I would love to be a fly on the wall to see his expression.

He'd probably take it!!! He's moving in November, so he's in a pickle. I forgot to mention that he's only been in business 1 year. Nothing like a solid, established client base!!!!

Clearly the price is way too high for what he has to sell but you don't get what you don't ask for!
