I've been doing a lot of concrete tear outs and that should be continuing and it's a pain in the butt to line up a dump (even in this economy) and I'm working in a lot of congested neighborhoods where it's not feasible to drop a container.

Anyways, I'm going to look at this truck this week. The concrete dump is <10 miles away from the jobs I'm working on. They're asking $7500.

What's everyone's thoughts on this truck? Anything to look for in particular when I check it out?

"This is a well maintained International 4700 Dump Truck with only 32,300 miles on the 1997 with a DT466E diesel engine with a automatic transmission. Exterior: Green color. Paint is faded. Windows have no cracked glass. Decals have been removed, some impressions remain. Tire condition is good.Interior: Gray with vinyl seats, Panasonic AM/FM radio, cruise control, tilt steering, power windows and power steering. "

31,000 miles seems to low to be true. At 131000 mile it would be a deal if the truck was in operating condition . I think the gvw is 26000lbs . I would buy it if it checks out . paint is cheep . I almost bought a gas-er like it for 10 gs but work is kinda slow here now . John

...It's an old Muni truck from a small wealthy community. I think the miles are correct.

The truck is a little light duty if you want to do some heavy hauling with it.

If you were hauling topsoil ya it would be alright but for sand gravel and rip rap you will have troubles getting 4 yards into that truck weight wise.

Go have a look at it see what its like.

I don't see that much trouble with the weight issue. But something to think about is how heavy duty is the bed? Will it withstand broken concrete being dumped into it with out trashing the bed? As far as the miles, that comes out to be about 215 a month assuming 31,000 is correct.

It isn't a heavy duty truck it has the low profile rubber and the light axles.

Okay for landscape work like doing park work which is probably did so hauling topsoil and doing clean up work.

Those 4700's have been known to have the odometers cut in and out at random. The reading it shows may not be 100% accurate.

that truck is plenty fine for what u want it for. For having a 10ft bed, it can carry plenty, compared to what most people put in 350's,lol...perfect under cdl truck if u ask me
