Just recieved demo and am playing around w/ it. Question. I have a 3 man crew pull up at a house @ 9:00, #1 & 2 start mowing #3 stars pulling weeds.
#1 finishes with his portion of mowing + all involved w/ mowing @ 9:40 & helps weed. At 9:55 # 2 Finishes the rest of the mowing and helps finish the weeding. At 10:05 all finish and head to next property. How do you easily enter this for job costing? It looks like when you enter the times at thew end of the day everybody had to be on the same job and then all switch together. Not feasible on all properties. Thanks

You would definitely want to consider the Pro version as it will allow for more detail.

You would need the Pro version to be able to record employees. Classic doesn't allow recording employees. Ideally, you would want to have a job for each task performed while on the customer site - weeding, mowing, clipping, etc. With the jobs broken out you could then track and record the detailed times each employee did while on the job site.

Note: Line item detail similar to this will require a bit more setup time and recording of the job. The extra time spent will allow for more detailed reporting on the back end.

An alternative method, although not as detailed, but faster, would be Group Record, where you would have a job for each task, and would just group record all the jobs. Actual time on the job site is then divided equally based on the budgeted time of the jobs.

    Hope this helps.
