We started out with an older Kubota but thanks to some sub contracted work we upgraded to a new john deere 5075e. With the new tractor we are able to cut more more. The thing is we get 90% of our bush hog work from 1 subcontracter and 10% from people who stumble across our website. Our lawn maintenance is doing great same with landscape but would love to have the tractor out more. Any tips from anyone with experience? We looked into govt work but keep hearing its hell on equipment

How much work do you want ?

I have a friend who runs 4 tractors daily three with bat wings.

Much of his work is through public like doing road right aways and areas like that. Private he is doing factories.

Net working is his method.

If your looking to mow highways and interstate you'll want to lease tractors. It's hell on equipment and the tractors usually don't last long with out needing repairs. If your wanting decent side work look Into hunting clubs of there are any around you. I do a lot of bush hogging for deer clubs and what not. And just advertise like crazy.

Great point...might even look into food plot plantings.

Good thing about a tractor is the jobs are endless with different implements. I have a box blade and grader I use to maintain lots of people's gravel drives or hunting club roads. Expand your arsenal and the tractor work will come given there is a need for it in your area.
