So please just tell me the ingrediants for making a 21" striping kit for a Lawn Boy, I am planning on taking the rubber flap off to mount it and using those hole to mount it.

I HAVE searched it and "stipe kit" brings about a million different pages, I got through about page 9 after 30 minutes and said to heck with it...

Want a roller, thinking pvc filled with washers or something similar, any HELP PLEASE!!!!!

Everyone down here uses Walkers and NO ONE uses rollers, probably going to order one for my Exmark 48" HP, hoping to be a little different

I too would like see and hear about some home made versions. Seems like it could easily be done with a lot less $$$$. I was also thinking PVC, but think I decided on steel or aluminum.....just what to fill it with??

thanks alot, that really helps me

It is a 2003 lawnboy with the stupid offset wheel, great mower but awful wheel placement,,

Just curious, you did not want to mount it on the existing holes where the flap is?

Drinking and typing doesn't mix.
Practice responsible digitizing.

The wheel is an antiscalp feature. I think its sort of goofy too but I love the lawnboy. Let us know how your striping kit goes. Have fun with the girlfriend. Take some asprin and gallons of water for the hangover.

well I thought about it and made one out of pvc pipe. Here is what I did:

1. Drilled hole .25" hole right below the rear wheel adjustment
2. Found a six inch plate, srcewed into both sides
3. Took pvc pipe, stopped one side with rubber stopper, drilled a .25" hole in it stuck threaded 16" rod through it.
4. Filled pvc with the smallest washers I could find
5. Filled until 1.5" from top
6. drilled another rubber stopper, threaded rod through and hammered shut.

7. Bolted all pieces

Works great, probably will expand to a larger pvc pipe to accomdate more weight, but the stripes look great!!

Post pics soon

these washers are smaller and easily turn around in the pvc pipe I got,

But when I get the larger pipe that is what I will fill it with...

thanks

no the staggered wheel doesnt affect the look of the cut at all

it is just a pain in the As s when jumping curves to do islands or what not, because of the stability

I will post some pics of what my roller looks like and the affect it has on the grass
