does anyone have a preference about tires? or experince good or bad??
I have a preference for turf tires. scoff at this statement if you like, but some mowers come with a knobby tread pattern or even a high dig chevron tread, instead of turf patterns and can wreak havoc on grass with zero turn maneuvering. A far as size, the fattest tire that your hydraulics will handle without whining, run at 10-12 psi for maximum float. shorter sidewalls are better for handling(think bumpy hillsides), but will decrease your overall speed. manufacturing on low speed tires appears to be about the same acorss the board, so just search out the best deal. for front casters, solid tires only..I don't care if they eat up bearings, having no flats on those front slicks is the only way to go.
