Go ahead and put it down, I don't think its too late! we had a pretty late spring this year but then it turned into mid summer! Dimension has some post emergent control for early stages of crabgrass too!

All depends on temperature. Around here, I see crabgrass in the 2 leaf stage in barespots, along curbs, etc, mostly on untreated lawns. I still have one customer left for dimension, plan on doing it tomorrow. The lawn has been pretty clean for a few years, so I'm not too worried. Do a search for GGD (growing degree days) in your area. crabgrass germinates in the 150-200+ range, and when soil temperatures are 55 degrees solid for 3 days.

Regardless, throw down the dimension. Won't hurt ,and there's still more crabgrass to germinate down the road.

Ditto -- we're just seeing crabgrass on bare dirt + sun here in central Iowa.

Apply it now and you're good for the rest of the year -- you are NOT too late.
