Hey men - got a question. I have a mower that we no longer need and is in decent shape. Was at a dealership this afternoon with it on the trailer and a young kid came up and offered me $500 for it. I really haven't a clue what it's worth - but I'm thinking around $250. I don't wanna jip a kid that's starting out in business - so any ballpark figures of what you think it's worth would be appreciated. It's been well maintained and don't have a clue how many hours on it total - but definitely has lots of hours of life left in it.

Need more info, like hours and type of engine, hp, age, things like that.

What size and brand is the motor? Is a belt-drive or a hydro? How old is it? Unless it is REAL old and REAL beat, $250 sounds pretty low to me.

    It's a 12.5hp Kawasaki - belt drive. It's 6 years old. Was used maybe a total of 25 hours in 2002 & 2003.

So it is a 1998 model? $500 doesn't sound too bad to me. In my market you could probably get even more for it. Probably closer to $750+.
