Typically surrounds type mowers don't handle clippings that great. Really meant to cut more often than you would normally cut a lawn. Not very easy to turn and they don't really move that fast. And the parts can be very expensive. Lastly they are way more complicated than a normal mower as in more things to break/malfunction.

We have one at the golf course I work at. They're great at mowing undulations and hills. They're 3 wheel drive and they don't scalp, having 3 - 20 or so inch decks, so you can mow shorter, but you can't catch clippings. Stripes nice with roller behind each deck. Probably pretty expensive. Ours is diesel. Not sure if gas power is available.
