I recently had to replace my trim mower and decided on the Toro 20092 with Brigs 6.75. I have made every adjustment I can think of to get rid of the stragglers that are left when mulching. i may be being to particular since it is a trim mower but It really pisses me off when everything else looks good but what I cut with this machine.

Solutions tried:

Pitch the deck.
slow speed
try different cutting heights
Sharpen the new blade

On the to do list:

get a new dedicated high lift mulching blade
Check RPMS on engine

Let me know if you guys know of any other solutions.

Take out the mulching plug and put on the bag.

Your experiences are the primary reason why I do little, or no mulching, of grass clippings. The quality of cut is not satisfactory. I have a Toro Proline, and the best cut is with a high-lift blade and the bag. I only use the mulching plug in the Fall for mulching leaves.
