I am getting ready to buy a 6 by 12 single axle haulmark trailer. it is the transport dlx model and i was wondering what is the difference between leaf spring axles and torsion axles?

Torsion axles give a smoother ride, the trailer will sit 'slightly' lower, less bounce, and slighly less sway (no 'spring walk').

Around salt water, maybe road saltthough I have no experience there, springs will rust and deteriorate badly, torsion axles don't have this problem.

Torsion axles are generally better and longer lasting.

better ride and last longer ,warranty is better on them
the ones we have on our gooseneck have a 5 year warranty I think.
As said in another post the trailer sits closer to the ground

A better ride. And worth the money. :)
