Trailer Question?

1354 Views 6 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Nozzleman
I am planning on purchasing a new 52'' Lazer HP in the winter and I have a question regarding trailer length. Will a 14' trailer fit a 48''wb, 52'' Lazer HP, little wonder, a 21'' mower, and a 16 hp truck loader mounted up front with no trouble? I am guessing it should fit but I figured someone here must have a definate answer. A 16' trailer would be nice but it will not fit in my shallow garage and I don't like the idea of having to unload at the end of the day.

Thanks.

Psst.....................psst....................

Enclosed trailer:cool:
Glan, I have considered the enclosed trailer option but the extra $$$$ for one could go towards the new Lazer or the new truck loader and as long as eveything fit's on the 14' open then I will be good to go.
i run a 14' and your set-up would be tight but do-able.

OK, just that the thought of loading and unloading don't appeal to me.

I do understand your concern regarding finances.

Ah but if you chose the proper length open trailer. I have seen where the truck loader is mounted inside up front.

Want to know what I have done?

I have gone to the equipment dealer with a tape measure. Measure the equipment. Then out in the lawn or on the driveway kinda mark out the inside dimensions of the trailer that you think you need.

then measure out and kinda place where all your equipment will go. Try a few arrangements of the equipment to see if all you want will fit. Then try changing the dimensions of the trailer.

One thing I did with my first a 5x9 inside dimension open trailer, custome made. Fit a 36 and 32" two 21" and an edger
On one fender a box for 2 line trimmers on the other side an outside rack for 2 blowers. Tubes across the front for rakes, cultivators and an inside bar to hold shovels. In front of the rakes is a gas box holding 2 - 5 gallon cans.

The 32" was put in on last and slid sideways to fit. Had to fit the whole thing in my garage. Worked well for me and still have it for odds and ends kind of stuff.

Just an update, I purchased a 6X14 tandem axle trailer today and I should pick it up tomorrow or Wednesday.
