I'm getting ready to start a job where I'll be installing multiple trees. The are can get 30-40mph winds and unfortunately, with the highly exposed area they will be in, I'll need to stake them to keep them upright.

Normally I'll just go buy steel posts if I install a couple of trees, but being so many in this project, I'd like to use cables attached to buried stakes in the ground for a cleaner look when done. I hate the look of 12-30 trees newly planted, with the crappy looking steel posts used to hold them up.

So, does anyone know of a good supplier who has the cable/wire with the stakes. I'm looking to save time, and I wasn't sure if somebody offered them basically in a packaged deal.

In the mean time, I'll search around.

Thanks ahead of time. Thumbs Up

Thanks AZ, those look pretty neat. Unfortunately though they do seem expensive for the budget. The job is for a publically funded educational building, so budget is an issue and I'm trying to keep it down as much as I can without sacrificing a reasonable profit for the situation.

I've found some kits out there. This one I like the most so far, but I'm not down with the wooden stakes so much. But they say they are ash stakes so they should hold up fairly well.

I've got about 50 lbs. of 10 inch spikes, and I could come up with some rope or even aluminum wire and make my own so to speak. The only issue would be to use the right material around the trunk and black nylon feels like my only option. That or old bike inter-tubes.
