I have an SRM-210 that doesnt run at the moment and I would really like to keep it as a backup trimmer. It gradually got harder and harder to start (20-30 pulls!!!) So I eventually bought another one. I really need a backup trimmer so I took off the carb of the SRM-210, flushed it out, Now it wont start at all. The only way I can get it started is to use starter fluid and even then it shuts off after 3 seconds of running. This thing is pretty old. What can I do to get it running? Are there any buildups inside the engine that age causes? Should I take the engine apart, flush it, get a carb kit, and that will do the trick?
