I have seen clear or translucent guards on string trimmer's on rigs in the metropolitan area's. For lack of a better description, they almost look like a frisby, forms 360 degree coverage. I have checked in three shops locally and they know what I'm talking aboutbut don't know where to get them.

Anyone have any info on a source?

THE EDGIT SUCKS AND IS FOR AMATEUR'S THAT CANT HOLD A STRING LINE STRAIGHT { I ACTUALLY TRIED ONE FOR ABOUT 1 MINUTE} What a waste of money!
I guess to each his own, because i have had them in the past and kind of like them. I am thinking of ordering another. I very seldom edge with a trimmer so I like the edgit for regular trimming.

This a matter of opinion. If you used it for one minute, you didn't give it a chance.
Now the good part. You're calling out anyone that has a Edgit and saying they are amateur's because they use one? Dang, I'll never be a pro at this because I'm using a Edgit. :hammerhead:

you can also be fined for altering the safety equipment on your machines
By who? I have always removed the entire guards from all my trimmers and have never had anyone come and ask me about it. There is too many threads on this topic anyway, but think it works better without the guards, you just have to get used to having crap thrown at your legs.

Thank you Hog City, that's exactly like the piece I saw, except the edgit is a solid color and not translucent,l not that it would effect the end use any.
Appreciate the information.
