Last yr in Aug I put in an irrigation system and sodded a lawn at a factory and I am also the one that is maintaining it. Well yesterday Tru-green shows up and sprays the lawn. Come to find out they sent them a bill last yr in Sept saying they did it and they were never there. Well, they were there Monday and the manager called and ask them wtf. He said that they were under contract. He told them to prove it and he said that he still isn't paying them. The guy that sprayed it wrote on the ticket that there is chickweeds. I'm telling you he full of s---.

maybe if you did a better job controlling that nasty chickweed chem lawn wouldnt have been there.

most broad spectrum herbicides will knock it out. if you need help IDing this weed your state ag dept probably has extensiojn programs.

chemlawn doesnt mess around.

are u kidding? TG wont spray for winter annuals, there is no point as far as TG is concerned because they will curl with rising temps. I dont think he said he had problems IDing the chickweed I think he was saying that there wasnt any. By the way screwgreen sucks. I figured I'd add that just because its were this thread is going to end up seeing as screwgreen was mentioned.

FrankFescue, don't know where you came from, but first before you become a jacka-- you need to understand what you read. Read it again and you will see where there is not a d-- weed in the whole place. I'm guessing you work for them

I dunno, i can take your word or the word of a national billion dollar company that employs thousands and stimulates job growth. they must be doing something right since they have more customers than you.

I have an old Lesco weed chart with chickweed on it. it's good in helping to identify most common weeds. It is possible you overlooked it as there is some chickweed popping.

The only reason TG are where they are now is when they started yearssss ago they were about the only real company and customers didn't know any better. I promise you if TG started in today world they never would have made it with the way they treat yards. I have gotting 12 yards just today from them and many more to come.

You have to remember their business model. They sell on a daily basis but they grow the company by buying other lawn care companies.

Tru Green bought Chemlawn, then bought Barefoot Grass, and so on and so on, and they continue to buy up large to medium sized companies all the time.

The only company they know they will never buy is Scotts. They have their eye on every other one out there.

Trust trugreen. Thats funny, they put down all mineral here all year even though we only got .2" of rain in aug and was pretty dry in early sept. It doesnt take a genius to realize thats not smart. As far as job growth goes, they let go almost all of their office people at the local branch. Now if a customer calls in it goes to a recording telling them to press this or that. When I worked for them my customer retention at the end of the year was 14.9% in my route at 720 customers. I was in the top 10 in the region, most companies will not last with numbers like that. The only reason they can is the fleet of sales staff they have and the cheap prices they have. They are a great marketing company but as far as lawncare goes, they suck. Just like any other salesman, I wouldnt trust them at all.

Don't know why anyone bashes them or ANY reason why anyone would want them to change what they do.....they are my #1 source of new biz when they don't do it right. No reason at all to help them get better LOL
 Yep! They sell them, pizz 'em off and I maintain them. Even trade I would say:)

@ Frank: Torrential down pour.. TG sprays. 20 MPH wind.. TG sprays..Snow on ground.. TG sprays  It's all good.:clapping:
