Truck Graphic w/ no number/location/anything

How do you guys feel about graphics that only say a company name, with perhaps an image, etc. BUT not including a telephone number or location of business?

I'm thinking of having a vinyl graphic made up, but don't know if I want to just do the company name - image, or if I should incorporate a location and number..

I understand it's essentially free advertisement to have the number on there, but something about just my company name is concise and almost has its own professional feel to it.

What do you all think? Try not to rip me a new ******* here, I've had my name and my number/location on my trucks for 6 years now, it's not new to me... Started a new company in a new location, gotta get some sort of sign on there soon any how. :cool2:

How about a simple but catchy website name like ****.Com?

People shouldn't be writing down phone numbers when they drive.

If a name sticks in their head, they will look you up on the computer later.

On my new primary vehicle, I just have my logo. Blue logo on white truck. Looks sharp and clean as that's how I like to project my image.

I personally like it that way, but a few people tell me I need to put my number and landscaping on it.

In all honesty though, I've only had 1 call in 6 years that came from my truck, so I haven't decided If I'm going to add it in.

I would say it depends on where your number can be found. if you are in the yellow pages then I wouldn't worry so much. they see your name and will look up the number.

I on the other hand only advertise in the newspaper classifieds and only on an as needed basis. so for me I think it's wise to have my number on my truck.

not everyone will think to check the paper. most start with the yellow pages or computer.

I wouldn't put the location on the side but phone number and website are a plus. Mine just have name and phone number. It cost at the local shop $200 it sold 2 jobs last year so it paid for itself. I didn't get them from driving down the road, my truck was parked in front of customer's homes.

I look at it as the info is provided to them instantly, no searching internet or phone books for contact info (think that everyone is lazy or they want it now, memory sucks).

might be a location thing because in my neck of the woods it's not.

some guys have company name or logo and phone number, just the logo or name or nothing.

A name and a number, what if you're stopped at a property. especially if you have crews, the customer is not going to go up to them, they won't ask for a card, and they need contact info. I don't believe many people will go thru looking you up unless you REALLY stand out. They'll walk out, write ur number on scratchpaper, and walk inside to call you.

I think you should do what you prefer. I like having my phone number on mine for the walk ups when I'm out working. I've received many calls from my magnets and acquired at least 7 new customers last year because of it. I see many guys around with absolutely nothing on their trucks and I wonder.....
