Truck suspension question

    I have a 2011 F250 and I am contemplating on upgrading my suspension, air bags, or timbren kit to level out truck when I put plow on and load up the bed of the truck.

    Has anyone done this and have better results with one over the other.

    I have a 2007 f250 and put the timbren kit on it before when I loaded with salt the receiver ball would drag that's how bad it sat down. Put the timbrens on and it hardly sit down to the overloads. For $300 they are well worth it. Only problem I had I broke a bolt and lost one stop but with lifetime warranty they sent me a new one. Hope this helps

    I had air bags on my '95 F-250. They worked well, but one has to have a simple method of adding and removing air when needed.

    My '06 F-350 has Timbrens. Very simple. They only work when the truck is heavily loaded and then they do the job. The Timbrens usually come with some spacers that can be installed or not installed depending on how you plan to use the truck. Mine are set up so that they engage when the bed load is about 1500#. This seems to work OK. No need to do any adjustments with air pressure.

    Timbrens mount simple take the rubber spacer stop above the springs out and those replace them. Doesn't make ride rougher. The truck has to sit down about 2 inches before the timbrens start working. I got the ones that add 6000 lbs to the springs. I'm by no means a mechanic but these were simple even for me

    Just an FYI you should never exceed the gvw of your vehicle. I know most of us don't always adhere to this but not only does this put extra wear and tear on your truck above what the manufacturer designed into the truck. It's considered abuse. And if in an accident it considered neglect and you may not be covered. True life exp was only over 500lbs
