    With pre's, you are looking atleast in good conditions, around 6-8 months of control, if your pre mix consists of oh say barricade and princep, there is nothing wrong with putting it out early - of course not WAY early, but we do start around first week of Feb., you'll be cleaning some left over winter weeds up with princep and the barricade will give continued control for not only any winter weeds that can continue to pop up, but for the oncoming summer weeds as well, to me atleast - this is especially effective in a slow warm up like this year where one week you are seeing summer weeds somewhat popping up, then all sudden it cools back down and you get some more winter weeds trying to make their last runs. But to each their own, and there is no solve all to any applied science in lawn weed control, that's why we have jobs. :)
