Ok, after looking at the prices of new machines, I realized that 50k will not get you too much in the way of a telehandler, but I have found two used machines that I am quite interested in:

    Hrs/Mileage: 550
    Price: $49,500
This is an end user who hardly put any hours on the machine.

    2001 Gehl DL8 Dynalift, 2151 hrs, 42' Boom, 8000lb Lift Capacity.
    Price Reduced $48,500.00
This machine offers more lift and comes from a reputable dealer, but has 4 times the hours on it.

I think either machines would serve me well, but I would like to know what you guys opinions are on either machine.

BTW..I had almost signed on the dotted line for a new Terex machine (mor emoney but it was from my JD dealer and I trust them) BUT they do not allow "man baskets" to be used and if you were to go ahead and use one and OSHA hit your site, you would be fined heavily. I can not see buying a machine like that and be limited simply to either forks or a bucket...

One additional point regarding teh two machines...they are almost identical in size...the DL8 is only 2 inches wider and weighs about 1,400 lbs more, so size is not really a factor.
