I'm looking for a site to find good deals on used lawn equipment. My brother-in-law and I are just getting started so we want used equipment to buy. Any suggestions?

i picked up a nice 44' walkbehind toro for 250 on craigslist. a few towns over, just buyer beware and look carefully. check your local mower shop, they usually have a pile of old belt driven models behind the shop for parts or free.

if your handy you could probably rebuild one on the cheap

one other thing, be sure what you are buying is not stolen. My mower was stolen 6 months ago and I found on the back of a truck last week. Called the police and the man was arrested for stolen property. He said he bought for $800, but either way, you can get arrested for stolen property. Just watch what you buy.

Hey thanks, I've already found some mowers I might end up checking out on craigs list. I never knew there was that much stuff for sale on there.
